The Garth an interfaith garden.
What is a garth?

Old Norse garlor: farmyard, farm, courtyard
Middle Eng garth: yard, garden
Church garth or cloister: an open courtyard enclosed by a cloister, or, in a monestary, a sunny south facing garden.

The visionaries, who worked fron concept design to planting, nurturing and caring for the Garth: Holly Jobe and Michael Foy.

Garth Montage

A weed-grown cloister in bloom, a steep gully transformed, no longer a barren, eroding flood danger, but a place of natural beauty and spiritual peace.

How a shared vision turned a long-neglected space into an interfaith meditation garden.
